Experience that spans industries and organizations
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with more than 100 different clients. This includes well over ten different industries, as well as organizations in both the private and public sectors.
My clients have worked, for example, in finance, IT, veterinary medicine, healthcare, manufacturing, wholesale, hospitality, transportation, and logistics.
Different industries, organizations, and people have taught me one thing above all: the same solution does not work for everyone.
The number of projects I have worked on has also grown significantly over the years. Every year, I have delivered several executive team coaching programs and leadership development programs for managers.
In addition, I have mentored, coached, and acted as a sounding board for numerous leaders and managers each year. I have also provided consulting, assessments, and interviews for leadership teams in various change situations and organizational development initiatives.
Extensive international experience
I also spent approximately three years working in interim leadership roles within an international organization. This has brought an important practical perspective to my coaching: leadership is not learned only from books or training programs. It is learned above all through experience — by making decisions and solving difficult situations.
Approximately 70% of my coaching assignments have involved international companies, and English has often been the working language.
Throughout my career, I have participated in development projects in more than ten countries, including Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, and Pakistan.
A broad perspective on leadership
What matters most in my experience, however, is not the number of clients, projects, or countries.
I have seen very different organizations and situations: successes, failures, growth, change, conflicts, and difficult decisions.
This gives me a strong foundation for asking the right questions, challenging when necessary, and helping people see situations from another perspective.
Experience brings perspective, but every situation still needs to be approached as its own unique whole.
Leadership develops through many different encounters and experiences. I have had the opportunity to develop my own leadership through the Finnish National Defence Training Association, in professional life, and through working with horses.
These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of how trust, presence, and clarity contribute to good leadership.
Where has my experience come from?
Leadership and collaboration in demanding environments
Through the Finnish National Defence Training Association (MPK), I have gained experience in teamwork and collaboration, as well as decision making under pressure.
I have also worked as a trainer within MPK, covering topics such as leading volunteers and psychological resilience in crisis situations, among others. I am also an active member of MPK’s Naval Defence District in Upinniemi.
More than 20 years of working with leadership and people
I have worked with leadership, management, teams, and interpersonal communication for more than 20 years.
My experience is not based solely on coaching. It also comes from my own professional career, a wide range of leadership situations, and the people, organizations, and changes I have encountered over the years.
I have had the opportunity to work with companies and organizations of different sizes, both in Finland and internationally. This has strengthened my understanding of how diverse leadership situations and needs can be.
I do not believe in ready-made answers or a single right way to lead.
I draw on my experience, ask questions, listen, and challenge — so that together we can find solutions that work specifically for you, your team, and your organization.
Lessons in presence and non-verbal communication from horses
Working with horses demonstrates how even small changes in communication can make a significant difference in mutual understanding.
Working with a horse can teach you how a small change in your communication can create a significant difference in mutual understanding.
This kind of work with horses “forces” you to pause and interpret both your own and the other person’s non-verbal communication, as well as the emotions and needs behind that communication.
